Types of Disability Discrimination Laws

What are relevant Australian laws? What are relevant Australian laws?

States and Territories also have their own separate laws about disability discrimination. For example, in New South Wales the Anti-Discrimination Act (ADA) also makes it against the law to discriminate against people with disability in some cases. However, there are differences between these laws and the DDA, especially about what people can complain about and how they can make complaints. For example, in New South Wales complaints cannot be made under the ADA about private schools. The DDA on the other hand, lets you make a complaint about both private and public schools.

If you think you have been discriminated against or harassed because of your disability, you should contact a lawyer or community legal centre. They might be able to help you with your problem.
